"I wish I had a minor, if I did it would be graphic design," said Nolan Miller, a senior here at Bluffton University. Nolan is majoring in Business Administration and is a recent graduate of Hesston College, a small two year college of Mennonite Church USA in Kansas.
I asked Nolan if he could change anything about his overall Bluffton experience it would be, "Maybe coming here for a full four years, because I didn't know very many people." Nolan said he only knew of three other people that went to Bluffton at the time. Two had gone to Hesston College and the other had gone to his high school back home.
Nolan was a part of the Bluffton University men's soccer team for both the two years that he was here. In fact when I asked Nolan what his favorite memory was here at Bluffton it actually was a soccer experience. "Beating Transy (Transylvania) for the first time ever!" The men's soccer team has never beaten Transylvania, and beating them his senior year made it even better.
"Seeing my friends every day," is what Nolan said he would miss the most when he leaves Bluffton. "Hanging out with my friends a lot," was something else that Nolan had mentioned that he would miss the most about being at Bluffton. Even though Nolan has many memories here at Bluffton, he also is ready to be out in "the real world." "I'm looking forward to not having to go to school. I can do whatever I want," Nolan said with a smile on his face.
Nolan's only fear after graduation is, "Not finding a good job." Nolan said he would like to find a good job that would be where you need a good business background, and one he would enjoy and keep for a long time.
"Yes, I did enjoy my experience at Bluffton." Nolan said when I asked him if he enjoyed coming to Bluffton after graduating from Hesston. Overall Nolan Miller is one of Bluffton's outgoing senior athletes at Bluffton this year
